Azmina was a Campaign Dietitian for Department of Health Change4life BME activities and Healthy Start Initiative. She delivered workshops, talks and cookery demonstrations within community centres and clinics.
She is a media spokesperson for NHS Choices Health Checker Tool and on-screen expert for NHS Choices website. The NHS Get Ready for Summer Facebook Campaign involves Azmina as Nutrition Expert on their Losing Weight and Healthy Eating Groups.
Azmina was one of the two approved contractors for writing text for the Food Standards Agency (FSA) eatwell website from 2007 to 2010. She was an expert dietitian for the FSA and mybliss teen webchat. She continues to write for the Department of Health via NHS Choices. She successfully won two tenders for the FSA on research into cooking practices in restaurants. Azmina led a team of experienced dietitians for the FSA Asian Businesses research (2010) where she successfully completed an intervention on Indian restaurants.
She is currently conducting research for the Department of Health on healthier catering for Italian restaurants.
