Azmina has worked as a consultant nutritionist to the UK Department of Health on various projects since 2007.

Azmina is a Campaign Dietitian for Public Health England’s Better Health Campaign. She conducts live TV and radio interviews and creates culturally appropriate tips on weight management for South Asian communities.

Azmina was a Campaign Dietitian for Department of Health Change4life BAME activities and Healthy Start Initiative. She delivered workshops, talks and cookery demonstrations within community centres and clinics.

Radio stations were lighting up with callers during a series of Azmina’s interviews on Change4life’s Sugar Swaps campaign.

Azmina was one of the two approved contractors for writing text for the Food Standards Agency (FSA) eatwell website from 2007 to 2010.

She continues to write for the Department of Health via NHS UK. She successfully won two tenders for the FSA on research into cooking practices in restaurants.

Azmina led a team of experienced dietitians for the FSA Asian Businesses research (2010) where she successfully completed an intervention on Indian restaurants.
